Product details:
BIT-20 bactericide preservative is an important new preservative, which can be widely used in water-based systems such as coatings, glues, acrylic emulsions, high protein emulsions, polymer synthetic emulsions, and papermaking. The main active ingredient is BIT, and its chemical name is 1,2-phenylisothiazoline-3-one.
Performance characteristics:
“1. Broad-spectrum, long-lasting killing of various bacteria, yeasts and molds, good antibacterial effect can be achieved at a concentration of 0.1-0.2%.
2. Good compatibility with various emulsifiers, surfactants and other ingredients, and can be dissolved in any proportion of alcohol and water.
3. The applicable pH range is wider than similar products, and can be used at pH 2.0-12.0.
4. Strong stability: no change after storage at -20℃ to 40℃ for one year, and the active ingredients are also stable at 150℃.
5. Low toxicity, no heavy metals and halogen compounds.
6. Stable to amine compounds, no formaldehyde, and low odor.”
Application areas:
Widely used in coatings, glues, acrylic emulsions, water-based polymers, papermaking, metal cutting fluids, adhesives, inks, water treatment agents, etc.
Usage:
In water-based systems such as coatings and polymer synthetic emulsions, the general concentration is 0.2%, depending on whether the product is susceptible to microbial erosion and the storage environment of the product.
Packaging and storage:
“1. 25KG, 200KG 1000KG closed plastic barrel packaging.
2. Store at room temperature for 1 year”
Precautions:
This product can be added in any process, but it should be avoided as much as possible when added above 150℃. It is recommended to add it in the last process below 150℃. It is corrosive. Wear protective clothing, rubber gloves, goggles and masks to avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If contact occurs, immediately rinse with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes and seek medical treatment.
