Sodium Pyrithione Function

1. Broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties: Sodium pyrithione shows good inhibition effect on a variety of moulds and bacteria. It can inhibit or kill moulds such as Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus variegatus, Penicillium oryzae, Penicillium wansii, green wood mould, Trichoderma globosum, Rhizopus wansii and other moulds, as well as bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus oryzae, Bacillus megaterium, Pseudomonas fluorescens and other bacteria. In addition, it can inhibit a variety of yeasts, such as alcoholic yeast, brewer’s yeast and so on.

2. Daily chemical products: In shampoo shampoo and hair care products, sodium pyrithione not only helps to prevent the product from rotting and mould, but also effectively stops itching and removes dandruff, and is an important ingredient in many high-end shampoo and hair care products.

3. Architectural coatings, adhesives, sealants: in these fields, the anti-mould and anti-bacterial properties of sodium pyrithione help to extend the service life of the products and prevent the growth of moulds and bacteria.

4. Pesticides: As an effective fungicide, Sodium Pyrithione can be used in the control of pests and diseases of fruit trees, peanuts, wheat, vegetables and other crops, and it is also an excellent disinfectant for silkworms.

5. Textiles, leather products: In the production and storage of textiles and leather products, sodium pyrithione can prevent the growth of moulds and bacteria and protect the quality and appearance of the products.

6. Metal working fluids: In the field of metal cutting fluids, antirust fluids, etc., sodium pyrithione can prevent corrosion and mould growth on metal surfaces.
